Dragon Rider

One of the books I’ve read lately is called Dragon Rider. It is about a dragon that’s traveling across the world in search of a place called the rim of heaven. They are going in search of this place because humans are coming to make the valley that the group of dragons has always lived in part of a city. Along the way Firedrake (that’s the name of the dragon) and Sorrel (his brownie companion) meet a human child that joins them on their quest. Along the way they meet new friends but unfortunately for them also new enemies.

I like it because it is exciting and adventurous. There is always something happening.

My favourite character is Firedrake because he is good without being a goody-good.

Dragon Rider is by Cornelia Funke and it is 527 pages long (not including the puzzles at the end).

It was a really good book and I highly recommend it (even for adults).
